Ch. 1 – Step 1: Where we talk about columns

When we speak about the 3 Greek orders or Greek temples in general, the first things that come to mind are the columns. My first goal will be to create Doric columns, then move on to Ionic and Corinthian ones when I will be done with the whole Doric temple (so the Ionic and Corinthian artiles might come in a really long time)

It is my first time doing a real project on Houdini so I might mess a little and do some non-optimal things. If you have advices or ideas (or question, who knows?), please tell me, I’d be very happy to share! Also, since I come from a CS/Maths background, I’ll probably use VEX wrangles a little too often but for the sake of the exercise, I’ll avoid using Python or C++ at all cost for now (let’s first speak Houdini language :D). Tell me if things can be done cleverly using only Houdini built-in nodes, I’d be happy to learn new tricks πŸ˜€
